Meet the Founder
Chris Gambill
Chris Gambill is a senior data engineer and architect with over 25 years of experience across the full data lifecycle—starting from on-prem SQL Server environments to modern cloud-native platforms.
Chris began his career in the early days of enterprise reporting—think DTS packages, Excel hacks, and Crystal Reports—and has since led end-to-end data transformations across cloud ecosystems, including multiple AWS-to-Azure migrations.
He previously served as an Associate Director of Data Engineering at a Fortune 500 cybersecurity firm, where he led platform modernization efforts, drove cost optimization, and architected scalable reporting solutions across global teams.
Chris has built data warehouses, modernized pipelines, and designed governance-first solutions that hold up under regulatory pressure and operational scale. But what sets him apart is his ability to translate data complexity into real-world business value—helping leaders make smarter decisions, faster.
He's also the creator of The Data Engineering Channel on YouTube, where he shares lessons learned from the field, tackles technical challenges, and mentors the next generation of data professionals.
